Tournament Action
"Shawnee State Park"
It was a chilly morning with a moderate wind blowing when the “Independent Bassmasters” recently held their club tournament at Shawnee State Park near Bedford, Pennsylvania. Shawnee State Park is a noted BIG BASS lake, where PA Fish Commission regulations state that a legal bass must be a minimum of 15 inches. Twenty-One anglers weighed in a total of only 15 legal fish, attesting to the tough conditions.
The winner of the event scaled 7lbs. and 2oz of total weight. One of our regular and loyal customers, here at “E-Bait Express”, Irvin Whitsel or Mill Creek, PA, boated two bass, and placed "Second" with a total weight of 6lbs. and 10oz., which included the days “Lunker” of 4lbs. and oz.
All of Irvin’s fish were caught on a “Cabin Creek Critter Getter” 4in. tube in color #10… Black with Red Glitter!!
Way to go Irv!!!
Tight Lines,
